Last year, the departmental representatives worked on exploring the possibility of co-location. In 2024, the focus is on preparing and shaping the work towards a joint department.
The three representatives are Martin Berggren from the Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science, Raimund Muscheler from the Department of Geology, and Yann Clough from the Centre for Environmental and Climate Science (CEC). Their commitment as departmental representatives is an important part of the coordination work, as they serve as a direct link to the various organisations and are available for questions and thoughts from colleagues.
The responsibilities of the departmental representatives include:
- Acting as a cohesive function alongside Vice Dean Karin Hall and heads of departments in matters related to the development of a joint department.
- Preparing and shaping the work to develop a vision for a potential joint department.
- Preparing and shaping the work to develop a name, functional in both Swedish and English, for a potential joint department.
The upcoming vision workshops taking place at the end of April with participation from various organisations are crucial for this work.
