External engagement
The Faculty of Science collaborates with schools, businesses and organisations in research, education and professional development. The Faculty also organises activities that enable the public to engage with research and the natural sciences.
Collaboration with schools
We organise a range of Swedish-language activities for secondary schools. These include the LUNE Days for lower secondary school pupils (Years 7–9) and the NMT Days for upper secondary school students, which offer more than 100 popular science lectures in the fields of science, medicine and engineering.
Collaboration with businesses and organisations
The Faculty of Science collaborates with businesses and organisations in research, education and professional development. These partnerships may involve student projects, internships, guest lectures, research projects and activities that bring students and employers together.
Collaboration creates opportunities for knowledge exchange and new connections between the University, industry and wider society. The Lund University Science Student Union also organises activities focused on careers and the labour market.
Professional development through contract education
We offer contract education courses for businesses and organisations seeking to develop expertise in scientific fields. These courses are based on current research and can be tailored to meet the needs of individual organisations.
