Theses of the month
During the month of January, five new theses will be presented at the Faculty of Science. Florian Mekhaldi has studied the irradiation of cosmogenic particles stored in the soil, to enable the investigation of climate fluctuations over the past 11 000 years. Simon Herzog studied the effects of iron (iron complexes and iron oxides) on overfertilisation where fresh water from streams runs into salty seawater. Christian Lorenz investigated the decomposition and detection processes of a few different radioactive isotopes. Hongduo Lu worked on models that are best able to find the typical properties of ionic liquids. Fredrik Nilsson used and developed methods to describe what are known as strongly correlated materials, which depend on the interaction of electrons with each other.
