STINT is announcing funding for strategic internationalisation

The Foundation for the Internationalisation of Higher Education and Research (STINT) is announcing funding for strategic internationalisation initiatives which simultaneously make the most of individual enthusiasts’ experience and engagement.

Please note that Lund University has internal management rules for applications with an application deadline of 31 January.

Apply for scholarships for stays abroad

Doctoral students and postdocs can now apply for scholarships from the Hans Werthén Fund for research-related stays abroad. Contact alicia [dot] parvin [at] iva [dot] se for more information about applying for scholarships.

SSF announces funding for research institute-employed doctoral students

The Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) is announcing grants to cover research studies for eight doctoral students employed by research institutes.

Funding for internationalisation involving collaboration in the U21 network

To strengthen collaboration between members in the U21 network, Lund University offers incentive funding for projects that are carried out with U21 partners and which have an educational focus with a special interest in sustainability and internationalisation. The call is intended for teaching staff, postdocs and researchers employed at Lund University. Up to four projects will be granted funding of up to SEK 50 000 per project.

Funding for the implementation of the Asia Action Plan

Lund University has drawn up an action plan for cooperation with higher education institutions in Asia. Central incentive funding has been allocated in order to realise parts of the action plan. The call, which is intended for teaching staff, postdocs and researchers employed at Lund University, is to promote research cooperation with higher education institutions in Asia. Projects may be granted funding within the range of SEK 20 000 to SEK 100 000.

The application deadline is 31 January.

Foundation celebrates 50 years by announcing two prizes for researchers

The Oscar and Lili Lamm Foundation celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2021. The foundation’s board wishes to mark this milestone with two prizes for researchers each worth SEK 2.5 million. The prizes are intended for promising early-career researchers within landscape conservation, water conservation, soil conservation and plant protection. Those eligible to apply are researchers at Swedish higher education institutions with a PhD from 2011 or later. Apply for funding from Nordplus

Nordplus is a programme that supports cooperation between Nordic and Baltic countries as well as Åland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Nordplus offers funding for mobility, specific projects, network activities, administrator exchanges and teacher scholarships. During the period 2021–2022 the focus area for Nordplus is a greener future. Therefore, projects connected with the environment are particularly welcomed. Research grant within biotechnology and plant breeding

It is now possible to apply for funding from the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research in the area of “Biotechnology and plant breeding – food, feed and forest products”. A total of SEK 120 million will be allocated to four interdisciplinary research projects with clear plant breeding strategies, in the areas of food, feed and forest products.

The application deadline is 16 March.

Research internship grants in the Baltic Sea region

Life science researchers and students can apply for grants through the Baltic Science Network Mobility Programme for Research Internships. The grants give students the opportunity to take part in research projects at universities in the Baltic Sea region. Researchers can apply for grants to act as a host for a student.

The application will close in May.
