SSF announces funding for new centre for strategic metals and minerals

The Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) has announced funding worth SEK 60 million in a call for applications to establish a research centre to secure the availability of strategic raw materials. The research is to focus on the extraction and enrichment of metals.

Nominate candidates for the Svedberg Prize 2023

The prize is awarded to a successful biochemist or molecular biologist who is working in Sweden and obtained his or her PhD on 1 January 2011 at the latest (with some exceptions). The award includes a medal and SEK 35 000.

The prize is awarded to a successful young researcher in biophysics who is working in Sweden and is no more than 44 years old. The award includes a diploma and 5 000 SEK.

Seed money within the framework of EUGLOH or U21

Teaching staff can now apply for seed money within the three calls listed below (EUGLOH stands for European University Alliance for Global Health and U21 stands for Universitas 21). Funds can be used during 2023.

  • Develop courses with EUGLOH partners
  • Develop joint programmes with EUGLOH partners
  • Develop education projects with members of the U21 network

Researchers and teaching staff can now apply for seed money for projects that stimulate cooperation between Lund University and Universität Hamburg. You can apply for up to EUR 20,000.
