Study centre and integrated library

Work has begun on the new study centre in the Astronomy Building, which is expected to be completed in autumn 2028. The project aims to create a modern, centralised learning environment that brings together library activities, study support and flexible study spaces.

Timeline

Milestones will be added in due course.

  • Spring 2025
    • Adaptation and remodelling of the 2nd floor of the Astronomy Building.
    • Preparations for the start of construction of the Study Centre and Library on floor 1.
  • Summer 2025
    • The Geo-library moves into floor 2 of the Astronomy Building.
    • Kansli N and the faculty management move to floor 2 to enable remodelling of floor 1.
  • Autumn 2025
    • The Geo-library opens.
  • By summer 2028 at the latest
    • The Geo-library moves to floor 1.
    • Biology, Physics and Chemistry libraries move from the departments to floor 1.
    • The library staff will be co-located with Kansli N and the faculty management on floor 2.
  • By autumn 2028
    • Study Centre opens.
