Promotion from lecturer to senior lecturer, or from senior lecturer to professor

As a lecturer or senior lecturer employed until further notice, you have the opportunity to apply for promotion. Your application is initiated and planned through a dialogue with the head of your department, and the issue can initially be raised at your staff appraisal.

Your promotion is to be based on a strategic consideration by the head of department. Your application needs to include the consideration, which is to feature an assessment of your documented contributions to the development of your organisation and your suitability for promotion. Ultimately, the faculty dean will take the decision on whether or not to examine your application.
