A student admitted to postgraduate studies should normally be enrolled
for a doctorate. A student may, however, be enrolled for a licentiate
degree if there are special reasons for this.
A licentiate degree
may also constitute a step along the way to a doctorate.
The
requirements for a licentiate degree are successful completion of the
courses required and approval of a dissertation which is presented at a
public seminar. At least two years’ study (120 higher education credits)
are required for a licentiate degree.
